HIEEEEEE!

My name is Eugenia and I’m the creator, maker, and doer of all things behind Wilde & Shy. Welcome to this corner of my world where I share the art I create! All my art is done on my 12.9” iPad Pro with the Gen 2 Apple Pencil using the programs, Procreate and Affinity Designer. If you want to know more specifics about my process and setup, please check the FAQ page :)

Wilde & Shy’s name is inspired by two cats I’ve had, loved, and lost. I had a chunky orange tabby named Oscar, after Oscar Wilde, who left us when he was just two years old due to an enlarged heart. He loved belly rubs and purring loudly while laying on your chest. He also had the tiniest little meow despite being a chunky boy. And then there’s little Boo. She was the runt of the litter when we rescued her and she stayed small her whole life. She was very graceful and curious and also shy when meeting new people (but never skittish). She rarely meowed and when she purred it was like a whisper. She loved being held over shoulders and was absolutely the best at “catching” the laser. She stayed with us for 11 years and if you’re a pet owner, you know there’s never enough time. They were sooooooo cute. Proof below.

I wouldn’t be able to run this joint without my (mostly) trusty coworkers. They’re great and keep me happy. And sane. Sometimes.

Andy
(supportive husband/numbers guy/voice of reason)

Cooper
(comedic relief/provider of chaos)

Peanut
(purr therapist but only on her time/professional model, apparently)

(I hope Andy notices this empty space and allows me to adopt another cat…)

If you read this far, it’s probably because you were sucked in by the pictures of cats and I totally get it, that’s why I put them there. You’re welcome.

Even if it was for the cats, thanks for sticking around and for checking out my itty bitty business. See you again soon!
